Vucic: Serbia will be the fastest growing Economy in Europe next Year

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said today that Serbia can expect support from the European People’s Party (EPP), which is a key player in shaping the future of the EU and whose members include most of the leaders of European countries.

After the EPP – Western Balkans Summit in Brussels, Vučić stressed that Serbia is today the most developed and strongest in its history and that next year it will be the fastest growing economy in Europe.

He stated that Serbian citizens have never had higher salaries and pensions and that there has never been more construction in the country.

Vučić stressed that it is important for Serbia that everyone knows that it has a good economy, the second fastest growing in Europe.

He reiterated that he is almost certain that Serbia will receive the opening of Cluster Three in negotiations with the EU at the end of January or beginning of February, which is a symbol of their respect for Serbia.

“It is important that Serbia has received respect from everyone in Brussels. I am sorry that some from Pristina and Belgrade tried to diminish its reputation,” Vučić said, adding that he expects the first money from the EU Growth Plan to be deposited in Serbia’s account in the next two to three days.

Speaking about threats from some opposition figures in Serbia that he would have to flee the country, Vučić said that he has no intention of fleeing from anyone, especially not from, as he says, thieves and criminals who have previously robbed and destroyed the country and that he is not afraid of them.

“As long as I am alive, I will fight against those who abuse children for political purposes. As long as I am alive, I will live in Serbia. I highly doubt that they will ever come to power,” said Vučić.

He stated that Serbia is receiving increasing support, especially for the “Expo”.

“We have received confirmation from the USA that they are preparing to participate, as well as from Russia and China. We hope that there will be more than 40 countries from Africa. It will be an incredible success to bring more than 65 percent of Asian countries, but also from Latin America,” said Vučić.
