Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Friday that “everyone in the world is playing their second half now,” but that he hopes that “there will be no second half” in the Balkans.
Vučić said that a lot of work has been done in recent months to equip, modernize and make the Serbian Army stronger, and announced that efforts will be made to create a digital army, based on the “Israeli model.”
He announced a large military parade for September.
“You will see many things that people don’t even know we have. We hid that, these are huge changes in the Serbian Army in the coming period,” Vučić told TV “Prva”, stating that the Serbian Army is now “more powerful than anything in the region”.
He announced that on Monday, June 23, there will be an official General Staff meeting where all necessary changes will be discussed.
“We were filmed by drones from neighboring countries, NATO drones crossed into our territory, you can’t hide that much, but we didn’t include it so that they wouldn’t know, and a small number of people, a maximum of five, know what we brought to our country. The army is thus becoming incredibly deadly,” Vučić said.
He says it would be very stupid for Serbia to underestimate the creation of a “military alliance” between Pristina, Zagreb and Tirana, while inviting Sofia to join them every month.
“There has been a change in doctrine in the Serbian Army, our strength must be incomparably greater in order to preserve our freedom. We will have huge changes, many types of drones,” said Vučić.
Regarding the conflict between Israel and Iran, Vučić said that both are friends of Serbia and that he hopes that a solution will be found.
“I think the Americans are preparing for an attack, and I hope that it will not happen, that it is just a threat,” Vučić said.
