Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said today in Krepoljina that Serbia will endure and defeat “the evil that attacked our country from the outside and that wants to destroy it,” emphasizing that three months of blockades have devastated the country’s economy, AA writes.

Speaking to citizens at the Cultural Center in Krepoljina, on the third day of his visit to eastern Serbia, Vučić said that it is enough to just look at “those who have united and who support all those who are against Serbia, from Albin Kurti to Croats and Sarajevo, and everything is clear.”

“No one else needs to explain anything to you anymore. No one else needs to say anything anymore. Just look at those who have united in the fight against Serbia and you will understand everything. We will endure it. They destroyed us for three months, they ate us for three months,” Vučić said, according to Tanjug.

He emphasized that three months of blockades have devastated the Serbian economy. but that “we will raise Serbia” and expressed his belief that Serbia will be among the top three countries in terms of growth rate in all of Europe this year.

“They destroyed our economy in three months, but they did it once in 12 years, so we managed to raise Serbia. We will raise Serbia even after these three months of blockades, destruction, inaction, irresponsibility and destruction. I believe that we will be among the top three countries in terms of growth rate in all of Europe this year,” he said.

Students and citizens have been protesting since the end of last year, after 15 people died in the collapse of a canopy at the Main Railway Station in Novi Sad on November 1.

At least 63 faculties of five state universities, two private faculties and four vocational schools are under blockade.

Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević resigned as head of government, and investigations and actions to arrest corruption suspects have been launched across the country.
