The Federal Minister of Transport and Communication, Ever Bijedić, officially opened the first ”Walk Through free shop” of duty free products at the International Airport Sarajevo.

Bijedić said for the press that he is satisfied that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina now have the opportunity to buy products by lower prizes. He also pointed out that the opening
of such a shop could not be finalized without the support of the Administration for Indirect Taxation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Management of the International Airport Sarajevo
and the Company Regal GH.

The managing director of the International Airport Sarajevo, Ivan Veličan said that so far the” Duty free shop” was situated on a location of 80 square meters, and that the new shop is
located on more than 300 square meters. The opening of the free shop points to the long lasting collaboration of the International Airport Sarajevo with its partner Company Regal GH.

Their good estimation of trends on the market as well as the new needs of passengers resulted in this kind of innovation at the International Airport Sarajevo.

The aim of the ”Walk Through free shop” of duty free products is that the passengers can immediately after their passport and security control checks find themselves in the free shop.

The new shop offers more than 6.000 items including cosmetic, textile and fashion products. In the free shop you can also find toys, souvenirs, food, beverages, tobacco products, and a
special part of the shop which is equipped with Bosnian products only.

On this occasion, the representatives of the International Airport Sarajevo handed out the donation of 2.000 BAM to the humanitarian organization called ” Help”, which will deliver
the donation for the Shelter for the blind and visually impaired in Nedžarići.
