Warm meal for Homeless People in ADRA Kitchen on Sundays

ADRA BiH klix.abThe humanitarian organization ADRA BiH in Sarajevo provides more than 40 hungry fellow citizens with a warm meal in their kitchen every Sunday.

Kitchen is open for all people of poor economic situation, regardless of their national or religious confession. To these people, the kitchen means more than food. It tells them they are not forgotten and rejected.

The kitchen is located in Tepebašina Street number 7 and it is open every Sunday from 10 a.m.

According to data of the World Bank, number of poor citizens in B&H in 2015 increased by 20 percent in comparison with last year, while more than a half of population lives on the edge of existence. Around 60 percent of retired people lives in extreme poverty and 215,000 of them receives pension lower than 300 BAM. Twenty thousand citizens of B&H survives with only one meal per day from the public kitchen, and as much as 700,000 people live under general poverty line, including all those whose monthly income is lower than 230 BAM.
