According to available prognostic materials, this spring (that is, the period from March 1 to May 31) Bosnia and Herzegovina should have a warmer than the average spring air temperature for the period 1981 – 2010.

The probability of realizing the forecast is moderate and ranges up to 60 percent, it was stated in the forecast of the FBiH Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It appears that all three months could be warmer than the reference series. Positive deviations in the northern and partly in the central areas will be somewhat more pronounced compared to the south of the country. The largest positive temperature deviation is expected in May.

The spring of 2023, compared to the same period last year, should be slightly warmer. Intrusions of cold air masses from the north of the continent, which will lower the air temperature below average values, are possible during the entire observed period.

The expected total amount of precipitation should be approximately equal compared to the spring of 2022.
