The Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina warns BiH citizens that there have been recorded instances of fraudulent SMS messages and websites that are unauthorizedly using the name and visual identity of IDDEEA BiH with the aim of misleading citizens and possibly obtaining personal or financial data.
Citizens are being sent messages falsely stating the existence of traffic fines, urgent payment deadlines, legal consequences and alleged debtor registers, along with providing suspicious internet links that have nothing to do with the official systems of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
IDDEEA specifically emphasizes that the domain: iddeea.govba.one is not the official domain of IDDEEA BiH or any institution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The official internet domain of IDDEEA BiH is: http://www.iddeea.gov.ba
“We urge citizens not to open suspicious links, enter personal data, bank card data, usernames, passwords or vehicle registration plates on unverified sites,” emphasized IDDEEA.
IDDEEA BiH has already initiated activities towards competent institutions and international partners to identify responsible persons, report abuse and immediately remove controversial content.
“If anyone has already accessed the aforementioned site or entered data, we advise them to immediately contact their bank, change their access passwords and report the case to the competent authorities,” announced IDDEEA.
