What is Amount of the Total Debt in RS?

The total debt of Republika Srpska (RS) at the end of October this year was five billion and 371.55 million BAM.

According to preliminary data from the entity government, the total debt subject to legal limitation amounts to 5 billion and 310.4 million BAM or 50.33 percent of the estimated GDP for 2018 (the estimated amount of GDP for 2018 is 10.5 billion BAM).

The state debt of RS on 31st October 2018 amounts to four billion and 67.5 million BAM (38.55 percent of GDP).

RS will also be indebted next year in the maximum amount of up to 371 million BAM,

The aforementioned funds will be used for budget expenditures, as stated in the Proposal of Decision on Long-Term Borrowing of RS and will be debated at the session of the RS National Assembly on 21st December.

The aforementioned amount of funds will be sought from the International Monetary Fund and domestic and foreign creditors.
