What is the Average Number of infected with COVID-19 in Canton Sarajevo?

According to the Canton Sarajevo Public Health Institute, 189 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Sarajevo Canton last day, after laboratory testing of 1,154 samples.

In the same period, 142 people recovered from Covid-19 infection. One patient died as a result of this disease. There are currently 139 patients in hospital, 125 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation.

The share of vaccinated persons in the number of hospitalized is 12.95 percent.

At the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, 80 patients are being treated, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas” 59.

There are five people on the respirator, 12 patients use non-invasive ventilation, while 14 of them are on oxygen breathing support.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 1,457 active cases of Covid-19 infection.

There are currently 2,631 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 62,686 people infected with coronavirus have been registered, and 59,772 have been cured.

“In the past seven days, the average number of infected is 161, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 267,” according to the Public Health Institute of CS.
