Today, 20 years after the end of the war, several thousand refugees and displaced persons are still living in alternative housing in the Republic of Srpska (RS).
At the end of June this year a total of 3,235 families were in this form of accommodation, according to the data of the responsible ministry of this entity.
Out of that number, 1,118 families are participating in the payment of the lease to ensure the individual alternative accommodation.
This type of accommodation is paid on every 3 months for each user, so that the liabilities were created on that basis for the first quarter of 2015 in the amount of 190,395 BAM, and 195.745 BAM for the second quarter, which makes a total of 386,140 BAM.
Processing of payment orders were made on time, according to the report of the Ministry for Refugees and Displaced Persons of RS, on realization of Program on resolution of the problem of displaced persons, returnees and refugees for the first 6 months of this year.
The program planned intended funds for this year to pay for the individual alternative accommodation in the amount of 920,000 BAM.
Considering the status of users of alternative accommodation by the individual lease, the Ministry, as claimed, besides users of collective forms of accommodation also included users of individual alternative accommodation as the priority group in order to find permanent solutions.
Deputies of the National Assembly of RS will discuss the Report of the Ministry for Refugees and Displaced Persons of RS, on realization of Program on resolution of the problem of displaced persons, returnees and refugees for the period from the 1st of January until the 30th of June this year, at a session on the 6th of October.
