At the end of July 2019, a total of 58,421 unemployed persons were registered in the Canton of Sarajevo on the records of the Employment Service of CS, which is 4 persons less than in June 2019.
Of these, 36,924 are women and the largest number of registered unemployed persons was recorded in the municipalities of Novi Grad (15,762), Ilidza (9,797), Novo Sarajevo (6,897) and Center (6,665).
The highest number of unemployed persons is without a university degree is 18,455, while 7,570 persons are unemployed with a university degree.
According to data from the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in July 2019, there were 142,621 employees in the Sarajevo Canton.
