From March 8 last year to June 26 this year, 1.2 million residents were vaccinated against the coronavirus in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mostly in Sarajevo

Of these, 554,055 were vaccinated with the first dose, 527,709 with the second dose, and 123,690 with the third dose.

With the first dose of the vaccine, the most inhabitants of the Sarajevo Canton were vaccinated, namely 153,589, followed by the Tuzla Canton with 126,812 vaccinated, while the least population was vaccinated in the Posavina Canton – 7,277.

When it comes to the second dose of vaccine, 148,130 inhabitants were vaccinated in Sarajevo, 121,505 in Tuzla, and the least in Livanjski Canton, namely 8,619 inhabitants.

In Sarajevo Canton, 44,553 residents received the third dose, in Tuzla 24,948, and in Livanjski Canton 1,690 residents were vaccinated with it.

Citizens’ interest in vaccination against the coronavirus is still current, so from June 20 to 26, 196 citizens were vaccinated. However, that figure is certainly higher if it is taken into account that Zenica Doboj Canton and Bosna Podrinje Canton did not submit vaccination data for that period.

Although the epidemiological situation in this entity, as well as in the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is currently stable, experts urge the population to be vaccinated with the fourth dose.
