What is the Story behind the Slogan “Let’s remove the shackles”?

[wzslider autoplay=”true”]In the past several days, the public has been intrigued by chained tractors and sewing machines placed at city squares with large banners saying “Let’s remove the shackles”.

The same slogan could be seen on billboards, media and social networks, so the citizens wondered what it is all about for a reason.

“The slogan actually implies the opportunity for economic-social recovery of BiH through the implementation of economic reforms from the Reform Agenda. For 20 years now our society has been chained with the chains of stagnation, unemployment, poverty and lack of competitiveness,” it was stated.

With the signing of the Reform Agenda, a process of recovery of the domestic market has begun, with the aim of strengthening the sustainable, efficient, socially just and stable economic growth. Implementation of economic reforms is the key to the recovery of BiH that should result in better competitiveness, larger investments and export, new workplaces, and eventually better standard.

Hence, the slogan “Let’s remove the shackles” accurately describes what the implementation of economic reforms means for an ordinary citizen of BiH, because the reforms are the only way of liberating ourselves from the chains of inefficient system and heading to a better future.

Chains from tractors and sewing machines in Sarajevo, Bihać, Mostar, Zenica and Tuzla were removed yesterday, while apples and domestic-production socks were given to people. This symbolically presented the removing of shackles from domestic economy and announcement of better days for BiH economy, stated the implementers of the campaign from Via Media.
