What is the Total Debt of FBiH Government?

13115565_1168016719915949_1512811954_nOn March 31, the total debt of the FBiH Government amounted to 3.576.553.374 dollars or 6.177.598.422 BAM, which is by 90.902.723 BAM or 1.45 percent less than in the last quarter.

FBiH Government stated that the total foreign debt of FBiH Government at the end of the first quarter of this year amounted to 5.193.593.545 BAM or 3.007.022.268 dollars.

The nominal amount of debt, calculated in BAM, is lower by 80.018.211 or 1.52 percent than in the previous quarter. The foreign debt was mostly agreed on with bilateral and multilateral financial institutions, with the aim of providing funds for financing larger infrastructure projects and for budget support.

Consequently, 3.960.287.637 BAM or 76 percent of the total foreign debt of FBiH Government is implemented through multilateral financial institutions, and the remaining 1.233.305.909 BAM refers to indebtedness with bilateral creditors.

The internal debt amounted to 984.004.877 BAM on March 31 and in comparison with the previous quarter it is lower by 10.884.512 BAM or 1.09 percent.

Of the total amount, 160.000.000 BAM refers to treasury bills, 520.000.000 BAM to securities, 195.417.760 BAM to war claims, and 108.587.117 BAM to old foreign currency savings. In the first three months of this year, the FBiH budget generated revenues and earnings amounting to 413.6 million BAM, which is 16 percent of the total amount planned for this entire year.
