13063981_1160596197324668_1240102561_oFahrudin Radončić met Dragan Čović today at the premises of the Presidency of BiH, and they discussed the functioning of coalition across several levels.

“After my absence for a certain period of time, while talking with Mr. Čović I realized that Bosniak-Croat relations have not been this bad for a long time and that in this sense a lot of energy is required in the coming period to make those relations efficient, in order to solve numerous strategic problems,” Radončić said after the meeting.

Radončić also said that Dautbašić dropped his candidacy for minister in order to ease up relations in the coalition and announced that SBB will propose a new candidate soon. Furthermore, Radončić added that Dautbašić will be very well positioned in SBB structures in the future.

According to Radončić, that new candidate will be Ismir Jusko, the current head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, who has proven himself in ministerial engagement so far.

Radončić also said that delegations of SDA and SBB will talk today, as well as delegations of SDA and HDZ BiH, about the issue of the status of Mostar, and that he does not plan to have a meeting with Izetbegović nor he heard of him.

When asked whether agreement can be reached regarding the issue of Mostar, Radončić expressed skepticism.

“I would be happy if that problem is solved, but I have an impression that Mostar is just a tip of the iceberg and that one very delicate and traumatic process of solving Bosnian-Croat relations begins here,” Radončić said.
