The Joint Commission of the National Assembly of the entity of Republika Srpska and the Council of Peoples of the RS for harmonization of laws, regulations and acts today at the first session held in the National Assembly, did not reach an agreement on the Law on the immovable property to br used for functioning public authorities, which was referred to the Council for the Protection of Vital Interests of the Constitutional Court of the RS, Fena reports.

At the beginning of the first session of the Joint Commission of the National Assembly and the Council of Peoples, the RSNA President Nenad Stevandić, who presided over the session, informed the members of the Commission about the work and powers of that body.

The chairwoman of the Council of the People of the RS, Srebrenka Golić, said that the clubs of the Council of Peoples considered the Law on Immovable Property Used for the Functioning of the Public AuthoritIES and that one-third of the delegates in the Club of Bosniaks, which launched the mechanism for the protection of the vital national interest, believed that there was no injury, while five delegates or two-thirds believed that the vital interest of the Bosniak people was violated, which is why this law was sent for harmonization by the joint commission.

She emphasized that she personally believes that there is no violation of the vital national interest, as the other clubs in the People’s Council also declared.

Chairman of the Bosniak club in the Council of Peoples, Dževad Mahumutović, said that the Bosniak club stands by its first request to initiate the procedure of vital national interest, as it had already been declared on January 4.
