When will BiH get Permission for Export of 13,000 Tons of Meat to Turkey?

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Sarovic commented on the Free Trade Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey.

According to him, for the Agreement to be implemented, it needs to be ratified by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has not happened so far.

He claims that he will allow domestic producers to export 13,000 tonnes of meat.

“I appreciate that it is of great interest to reach ratification as soon as possible because the agreement brings much greater economic benefits over the existing one,” Sarovic said.

He stressed that this primarily refers to the guaranteed quotas for the export of meat to Turkey in the amount of 13,000 tonnes, which has not been the case so far.

“Also, this agreement guarantees greater opportunities for export of food of plant origin, flour, oil and glucose. The new agreement also opens up the opportunity for BiH to trade services,” Sarovic told the Nezavisne Novine.
