The trial in the case against Savo Marinković, Aleksandar Macan and Marko Trifković, accused of murdering the officers of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton (SC) – Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović in 2018, will begin on February 7, it was decided today at the status conference held before the Sarajevo Cantonal Court (KSS).

Referring to the dynamic of the trial in this case, the prosecution, represented by the cantonal prosecutors Aida Topalović and Šejla Heljić, announced that, according to their plan, it would take 84 hours to examine the witnesses, and another eight to ten hours to present material evidence.

The defense of the accused insisted on submitting all the evidence from the prosecutor’s file, including those related to the Sky and Anom applications, referring to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law (CPC).

In this context, the prosecution pointed to the specifics in this regard, since certain knowledge was obtained through the aforementioned applications, which include a large number of investigations in the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the region and the world, derived from those sources.

At the same time, she announced that, in addition to the already submitted evidence on the hard disk, all evidence relevant to this case, which also concerns the aforementioned applications, will be submitted by the start of the main trial.

As the Chairman of the Judicial Council, Judge Igor Todorović, announced, trials, in this case, will be held every week, one week on Mondays, and the other on Tuesdays.

The defendants, in this case, are accused of firing at least 20 shots at Šehović and Vujinović on October 26, 2018, in the Sarajevo suburb of Alipašino Polje at 4:20 a.m., after the police officers found them stealing a vehicle in Goethe Street.

Adis Šehović died of his injuries at the scene, while Davor Vujinović, who was seriously wounded, succumbed to his injuries a few hours after the attack.

The SC Prosecutor’s Office, after a four-year complex investigation in this case, filed an indictment which was confirmed at the end of last year, Fena reports.
