When will the Wind Farm Podvelezje be opened?

The official putting into operation of the wind farm Podvelezje will take place in the last quarter of the year of 2019, as noted by the Director Executive for Capital Investments in Elektroprivreda BiH, Senad Salkic.

According to him, the total value of works amounted to 83 million EUR, and it is the first wind farm that should start operating within the system of EPBiH. The delivery and installation of wind turbines is in the final phase.

“The realization of this project will increase the share of renewable sources in the total installed capacity of EPBiH and it will enable the production of 120 GWh of energy,” noted Salkic.

Salkic also added that EPBiH announced the tender for the implementation of a small hydropower plants on Neretvica River. The estimated value amounted to 11 million BAM and it mainly refers to the construction works. The process of public procurement of equipment was already started.

As he noted, EPBiH will work on the construction of 15 small hydroelectric power plants on Neretvica River through several phases.
