Who are the new Heads of state Agencies?

At yesterday‘s session, the Council of Ministers appointed a new director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on the proposal of HDZ, as well as the deputy director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).

State ministers yesterday decided on as many as 60 items on the agenda, most of which concern personnel solutions in state agencies and directorates.

The Extended Trojka includes Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) and the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies, SNSD has SIPA and the Service for Affairs with Foreigners, and HDZ the Border Police.

As it was found out, Mirko Kupresakovic was appointed director of the Border Police yesterday, while former director of the Border Police Zoran Galic was appointed deputy director of SIPA.

SNSD candidate Darko Culum remains the director of SIPA until further notice, and his mandate, which expires in March, was not considered yesterday.

Zarko Laketa, a member of the SNSD, was appointed director of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners.

One source confirmed that the competition for the director of the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies will be repeated.

The appointment of the OSA director and deputy director was not on the agenda yesterday.

To recall, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, the replacement of the current director of the OSA BiH, Osman Mehmedagic, or the appointment of a new director of that institution, did not take place, since for such a thing, it is first necessary to have a candidate’s proposal.

It is clear that the parties of the Six have not yet decided in that particular case, because the Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Kristo, would have already submitted a candidate proposal to the Presidency of BiH, Klix.ba reports.
