13235912_1185855211465433_271834423_nThe national football team of BiH will play a friendly match against Spain on May 29 in the Swiss city of St. Gallen. After that, the national team will participate in the Kirin Cup, were they will play against Denmark in the semifinals.

The list contains names of nine players who have not recorded a single performance for the A team so far (Kenan Pirić, Goran Karačić, Almir Bekić, Aleksandar Kosorić, Samir Memišević, Zvonimir Kožulj, Riad Bajić, Armin Hodžić i Adis Hušidić). Riad Bajić and Armin Hodžić have been called even before, but they did not play.

Coach Mehmed Baždarević invited the following 32 players for these matches:

Goalkeepers: Asmir Begović (Chelsea, England), Ibrahim Šehić (Qarabag, Azerbaijan), Kenan Pirić (Sloboda), Goran Karačić (Zrinjski).

Defense: Ognjen Vranješ (Sporting Gijon, Spain), Mateo Sušić (Sheriff Tiraspol, Moldova), Emir Spahić (HSV, Germany), Ervin Zukanović (Roma, Italy), Sead Kolašinac (Shalke 04, Germany), Edin Cocalić (Mechelen, Belgium), Toni Šunjić (Stuttgart, Germany), Almir Bekić (Sarajevo), Aleksandar Kosorić (Željezničar), Samir Memišević (Radnik).

Midfielders: Muhamed Bešić (Everton, England), Miralem Pjanić (Roma, Italy), Mario Vrančić (Darmstadt, Germany), Sanjin Prcić (Perugia, Italy), Anel Hadžić (Eskisehirspor, Turkey), Srđan Grahovac (Rapid, Austria), Haris Medunjanin (Maccabi Tel Aviv, Israel), Zvonimir Kožulj (Široki Brijeg), Tino Sušić (Hajduk Split, Croatia), Haris Duljević (Sarajevo), Edin Višća (Medipol Basaksehir, Turkey), Miroslav Stevanović (Željezničar), Izet Hajrović (Eibar, Spain).

Strikers: Napad: Edin Džeko (Roma, Italy), Milan Đurić (Cesena, Italy), Riad Bajić (Konyaspor, Turkey), Armin Hodžić (Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia), Adis Hušidić (LA Galaxy, USA).

Coach Baždarević explained the list: “We could not count on the injured Bičakčić, Graovac, Ibišević and Lulić. Aničić and Cimirot have championship matches so we spared them, just as we spared Burić because of personal affairs. Good opponents are expecting us and we wanted to present them the best possible team. Besides that, we want to give a chance to the younger boys, as well as to the Premiere League players, to show what they know. We are already thinking about obligations which await us this autumn and we must enter the qualifications well-prepared.“

National team players will gather in St. Gallen on May 26.
