International Handball Tournament of Friendship Held in Zenica

celik_juniorYoung handball players from Umag, Izviđač and Metlika achieved the most success at the international tournament of friendship ‘Zenica 2014’.

The best teams from the category of boys born in 1996 and younger were Metlika from Slovenia, with their best player Dark Gašper. Runner-up was Krim Olimpija, with their most efficient player Martin Žukovec, and third place was the team from Croatia Nexa Našica.

In the categories of boys born in 1998 and younger ones, the winner is the team Scout Ljubuški, for which the most efficient player was Josip Šarac and Ivan Erež as best goalie. Runner-up was team Radnički, with the best player of the tournament Kenan Pecikoza, and Karlovac team was in third place. Among the youngest participants of the tournament, young boys born in 2000 and younger, the winner was team Istria Umag. At the tournament organized by the handball school ‘Čelik Junior’, there were around 600 young handball players from 14 clubs from Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia and B&H.
