The average inflation in BiH in 2022 compared to the previous year was 14 percent, the Agency for Statistics of BiH announced.
In the annual newsletter “Consumer Price Index in Bosnia and Herzegovina” of the BiH Agency for Statistics, it is stated that in 2022, compared to 2021, an average increase in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 21.5 percent, tobacco and alcoholic beverages by 1, 7 percent, housing and overhead costs by 14 percent, furniture and household appliances by 8.9 percent, and healthcare by 1.5 percent.
On average, transportation was more expensive by 25.4 percent, communications by 0.9 percent, recreation and culture by 8.1 percent, education by 1.1 percent, restaurants and hotels by 9.3 percent, and other goods and services by 5.9 percent.
Clothing and footwear were on average six percent cheaper in 2022 compared to the previous year.
