A hearing was held yesterday in the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo in the case “Sava Marinkovic and others” due to the murder of police officers Adis Sehovic and Davor Vujinovic in October 2018.
Three witnesses of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Prosecutor’s Office testified in court yesterday.
Witness S.B., who on October 26th, 2018, before dawn, heard the shots that were fatal for Adis and Davor.
Namely, she testified that she heard gunshots from her apartment, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the murder scene, and saw shots being fired from a car, which, she says, she is not sure if it is a Golf or a Seat.
“The black vehicle was moving towards the police vehicle, which was moving slowly. Multiple shots were heard on two occasions. The black vehicle and the police vehicle met and then shots were heard again. The police vehicle did not move. A scream was heard and a man yelling and cursing someone’s mother. Then I saw a man, dressed in a black vest and hoodie, approaching with outstretched hands and shooting directly at the policeman driving the car. It was as if he was sure that the police officers were dead. The person who shot ran away limping towards the church, and the police vehicle slowly began to move towards Geteova Street and stopped. There was no reaction from the police car,” she testified.
Moreover, she adds that the police and the brother of the murdered policeman soon arrived at the scene of the murder.
“Screams and cries were heard. He was saying ‘My brother’, that echoed through the Alipasino Polje, it was so sad. I still have traumas today,” testified S. B.
Spouses D. O. and A. O. also gave their statements and on the night between October 5th and 6th, 2018, a black Seat Leon vehicle was stolen from the parking lot on Semira Fraste Street. They stated that they told friends and acquaintances that their vehicle was stolen and that they were looking for a way to buy back their vehicle.
“D.O. called her friend from Istocno Sarajevo, A.O., to ask if she could find out where the car was. Later, a man called my wife and asked if they could meet. She was at the Congress, so I went to the cafe ‘Felini’. I met that guy, but I forgot his name. He was smaller than me, slightly bigger man, with a short haircut. He said that he has a Seat car in Sokolac that will be sold in Montenegro for two thousand euros. I asked him if I could buy it back, and he said that we would meet later. He came in 15 minutes in a white car, I think it was a BMW, and said that I could buy the car for four thousand BAM. When I asked him if he had proof that the vehicle was ours, he said that he would leave the car in the parking lot for the police to find it, but that we give him money. All this seemed strange to us and we did not agree to it,” A. O. testified at yesterday’s hearing.
The next hearing will be held on May 22nd, Klix.ba reports.
