Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) delegated Felix Brych as the main referee on the match for Play-offs for the European Championship 2016 between the national team of B&H and Ireland, which will be played on the 13th of November in Zenica.
German referee is known for being “easy on the cards.” This season he was judging 3 matches in the Champions League in which he showed a total of 19 yellow cards (6.3 on average).
In the matches Celtic – Malmo (qualifications) and Dynamo Kiev – Port he showed 6 cards, and in the match Lyon – Zenit that was played 6 days ago he showed a total of 7 yellow and 2 red cards.
This season in Bundesliga Brych was judging 7 matches and has shown 28 yellow cards (4 on average). The last match that he judged was a big match Borussia Dortmund – Schalke that was played 2 days ago, when he showed 7 yellow cards.
Brych, 40-year-old lawyer, will be assisted by fellows Mark Borsch and Stefan Lupp. The referees behind the goal will be Marco Fritz and Bastian Dankert, while the 4th referee will be Thorsten Schiffner.
UEFA delegate will be Dutch Martin Sturkenboom and UEFA observer of the judging of the match French Marc Batta.
