Kenyan athletes were the most successful on the second Banja Luka Half Marathon, which was held on Sunday.
The first at the finish line was Hillary Kiptum Maiyo Kimaiyo. He ran Banja Luka Half Marathon with the time 1:04:03, which was 91 seconds better than last year’s record. Second and third place were also taken by Kenyan runners Abel Kibet Rop and Joel Mwangi Maina. Srdjan Samardzic from Banja Luka finished as fourth.
Kenyan runner took all three places in the women’s discipline as well: Christine Oigo finished on the first place, the second was Stella Barsosio and the third was Agnes Jebet.
More than 3,000 runners participated on Banja Luka Half Marathon. Among them were four Olympian, more than 40 elite runners, 100 relay teams, and many participants from all over the world who ran for satisfaction.
This is the second half-marathon held in Banja Luka.
