SOC_Olympic logoRGBB&H currently has 5 representatives for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

According to the Director of sports, international relations and projects and Secretary general of B&H Olympic Committee Said Fazlagić, the following participants are: Tanja Karišić and Mladen Plakalović in fast skiing, and Žana Novaković, Igor Laikert and Marko Rudić in alpine skiing. The participation of the 6th representative of B&H Haris Bešlić is not yet confirmed.

“Currently, we have 5 representatives. We are waiting for the outcome of events when it comes to the participation of Haris Bešlić, who is currently on the 45th world ranking. 40 participants will be in Sochi. However, some states have few competitors among those 45, so it can happen that some of them fail due to the specific quotes of participants that every country should have”, said Fazlagić for Fena.

“We will have the same number of coaches and no additional accompanying staff, except for the Head of Mission”, he added.

According to him, the Head of Mission will travel to Sochi on 3 February, and one day later will join the expedition of B&H.

The opening of Winter Olympic games in Sochi, where B&H athletes will perform in retro costumes to mark Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, will be held on 7 February.
