At yesterday‘s session of the Club of Independent Intellectuals 99, representatives of the Association of Employers in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) spoke about the very complex business framework of private entrepreneurs in the FBiH.
The problems of inconsistent policies and regulations related to business, expensive and unsustainable fiscal and parafiscal burdens were emphasized.
High taxes, contributions and parafiscal levies, labor shortages, and expensive and inefficient administration pose huge burdens on the real sector.
Social image
In addition to the aforementioned problems, employers emphasize the very complex social picture in the FBiH and the needs in the social protection sector, which also puts a lot of pressure on the business community.
Unregulated labor market, lack of records of active jobseekers that would monitor real needs for labor do not exist. On the other hand, the import of labor is limited, and the procedures and administration for the work of foreigners in BiH are overcomplicated and long.
Destimulating space
The FBiH is a very disincentive space for starting a business for foreign and domestic investments and investments, which is caused by the lack of facilities for starting a business, the lack of labor, the excessive burden of labor costs, archaic regulations and others.
All this motivated the Association of Employers in FBiH, as they say, to actively initiate certain activities towards the executive and legislative authorities, and through the document “What employers expect from the authorities”, about 40 proposals for regulations at all levels of government in BiH were proposed, by which specific proposals for improving the functioning of the real sector are given.
