Why is the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior making a List of Members of the BiH Armed Forces?

The Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina has information that the Ministry of the Interior of the Republika Srpska in the past period contacted members of the Armed Forces of BiH living in the territory of the Republika Srpska and asked them for certain information, explaining that they are in the process of making official records.

Considering that the previous practice was that these and similar activities of the entity MIAs are carried out by sending requests to the Ministry of Defense of BiH, which provided the requested data to the relevant institutions, it is unclear why the data was requested in this way.

It is especially symptomatic that this activity started in one municipality in Podrinje over the weekend and that only members of the BiH Armed Forces from the Bosniak people were contacted at that time, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense.

“After our reaction, it was extended to members of the Armed Forces of BiH from other nations, to other municipalities, as well as to employees of other state institutions.”

The MoD of BiH sent the above information to the competent state agencies for further action.
