The Government of the FBiH adopted the Decision on allocation of funds determined by the Budget for FBiH 2017 approved 9,000,000 BAM to the Ministry of Finance of the FBiH from the position “Current transfers to other levels of government and funds” and for financial assistance to cantonal budgets.

From the total amount, based on the Decision on determining the criteria for allocating funds from October 10, 2017, for Bosnian Podrinje Canton will be allocated 2,440,000 BAM, Una-Sana Canton 1,440,000 BAM, Tuzla Canton 740,000 BAM, Zenica-Doboj Canton 840,000 BAM and Central Bosnia Canton 540,000 BAM. A total of 1.000.000 BAM will be allocated to Canton 10, Posavina Canton and West Herzegovina Canton.

The users are obliged to spend the funds in accordance with the principles of restrictive budget policy that the Government of the FBiH is implementing, which is related to the limitation of growth of salaries, and the reduction of total public spending.

The Government of FBiH also issued the Decision on the allocation of funds for current transfers, on the basis of requests, which determined the distribution of funds for cities and municipalities in the amount of 2,000,000 BAM for granting financial assistance and financing projects that are important for the needs and development of municipalities. Users, who are allocating funds for the purpose of co-financing projects that are important to the municipalities, are tasked to submit a report on the intended use of funds to the Ministry of Finance of the FBiH by June 30, 2018.

The Decision on allocation of funds for current transfers to other levels of government has been adopted as well, with which the Municipality Vares got 1,000,000 BAM as financial assistance. This user was also tasked to spend funds in accordance with the principles of restrictive budget policy, as announced by the Public Affairs Office of the Government of FBiH.
