The Government of Canton Sarajevo started the preparation of the rebalance of the budget for this year that is foreseen by the law by approving the information from the Ministry of Finance of CS on the need to start the procedure for amending the budget of the CS and amending the Law on Execution of the budget of CS for 2017.

The reason for this, according to the Minister of Finance of CS Jasmin Halebic, is the fact that a significant increase in revenues collected from income taxes, as well as revenues collected from indirect taxes, was recorded in the budget of CS.

“Although the Ministry of Finance of FBiH in revised projections, which were submitted to the Ministry of Finance in May this year, foresaw the growth in revenues collected from income and personal income taxes and indirect taxes that belong to CS after recording the revenues for eight months, we can conclude that the profit collected from tax revenues already went over the annual plan for this year,” explained Minister Halebic.

He added that it is expected that the current growth in revenues collected from income taxes and indirect taxes at the end of the year will have the effect of overachieving the planned in the mentioned revised projections of the Ministry of Finance of the FBiH.

As it was concluded that the Ministry of Finance of CS will prepare and submit the mentioned legal acts in the form of proposals to the Government and propose for their consideration and adoption to be carried out in an urgent procedure.

According to estimates from the Ministry of Finance, it is expected that the complete procedure should be completed by the end of this month.
