Will the Heating Bills for the Residents of Sarajevo be reduced?

The representative in the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Assembly, Aljosa Campara, requested a correction of heating prices for December.

He stated this in the initiative sent to the CS Assembly.

”I am hereby launching an initiative to urgently request that the Cantonal Public Utility Company KJKP Toplane – Sarajevo, based on the data on the consumption of natural gas as the primary energy source for the production of thermal energy in the month of December and evident deviations from the planned funds used, reduce the bill for central heating services for citizens for the specified month, all in cooperation with the relevant cantonal ministry,” he said.

As he explained, we should take into account the fact that during December 2022, the daily temperatures were above average, which resulted in lower consumption of all energy sources for heating all buildings in CS.

”The line ministry, in cooperation with KJKP Toplane, needs to come up with a modality that will enable the reduction of bills for households, especially for the reason that the price of heating for the month of December was already increased, while there was no actual consumption due to weather conditions,” Campara concluded, Klix.ba reports.
