Minister of Education and Science of FBiH Elvira Dilberovic and Minister of Education, Science and Youth of CS Elvir Kazazovic discussed the realization the implementation of the project of learning the Turkish language in primary schools in CS at yesterday’s meeting with the Director of Turkish Cultural Center “Yunus Emre” Mehmet Akif Yaman.

Protocol on cooperation with the Centre for learning Turkish language as an elective subject was signed in 2013, and besides CS, this project is implemented in 7 other cantons in the FBiH.

As Minister Kazazovic emphasized, in order to fulfill the obligations from the next school year, a projection on the number of children, teachers and schools that implement learning the Turkish language is required to be able to make a plan and provide the necessary resources for this purpose.

Turkish Cultural Center see learning of Turkish language in secondary schools as an elective course, as a continuation of the existing cooperation, and they believe that the number of students interested in learning the foreign language will be sufficient for high schools to offer this kind of choice.
