Sunset_at_Royd_Moor_Wind_FarmWind power plant Hrgud will be built in Berkovići. At yesterday’s session, the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Draft agreement on loan and project between KfW, Frankfurt am Main, Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury (borrower), Republika Srpska, represented by the Ministry of Finance, and Elektroprivreda of Republika Srpska (agency for execution of the project) in the amount of 60 million EUR.

Wind power plant Hrgud will be built in the Municipality of Berkovići. It will have 16 wind turbines of total installed power of 48 MW with annual production of 126 GWh.

Elektroprivreda of Republika Srpska got concession for fifty years. According to the concession contract, BiH will get 3.6 percent of total income of wind power plant Hrgud.

A consultant selected by the KfW bank spent more than one year taking measurements and conducting analyses. According to the Director of Elektroprivreda RS Branislava Milekić, construction of the wind power plant should last for three years and, given the relatively high investments, the return on investment is expected in ten to twelve years.
