On December 28, on behalf of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister of Defence, Marina Pendes, signed the agreement on military and financial cooperation between the Council of Ministers of B&H and the Republic of Turkey and the Implementation Protocol regarding financial assistance between B&H and the Republic of Turkey, writes B&H news agency Patria.
With this agreement and implementation protocol, Republic of Turkey has approved financial aid for the year 2015 amounting to 3,300,000 TL (in the counter value to US dollars) for the purchase of goods and services in companies of military industry of the Republic of Turkey, to equip and modernize the capacity of the Armed Forces of B&H.
One part of these funds will be used for the costs of training and courses for members of the Armed Forces of B&H in the Republic of Turkey.
This aid represents on-going support of the Republic of Turkey in building the capacity of the AF B&H, both technical and human resources and improving the skills of the AF B&H.
Agreement and Implementation Protocol were signed following the completion of legal procedures. On behalf of partner party, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Turkey, Ismet Yilmaz, will sign the same Agreement and Implementation Protocol by the end of 2015 in Ankara.
