Although B&H is a country with huge amounts of natural spring water of high quality, unfortunately thousands of tons of water from other countries are imported in our country every month, due to which the whole country and its citizens directly lose several million BAM. This is the result of more favorable conditions for the importers of water than for the domestic producers, which is the reason why fewer and fewer of them are opting for the production.
A shining example in the fight with imported water is the Sarajevo company Milkos, which recently launched the production of natural spring water Ella. The director of the Dairy Milkos Adin Fakic points out that, without the power of Milkos, the placement of this water on the market would be impossible.
“By the placement of the water on the market, we have achieved the first objective. The next goal is enhanced marketing activity that will bring our Ella water closer to the BH buyers to whom we will, with this water, send different messages that those we have the opportunity to see on the market now“, Fakic pointed out.
When asked when and under which circumstances did Milkos decide to launch the production of water, our interlocutor said that, observing the market of waters in B&H, a conclusion can be drawn that there is plenty of imported water on the shelves and that the BH citizens spend a lot of money for something that few countries in the world have on such a scale.
