The cadet national basketball team of B&H led by the selector Josip Pandža defeated Italy in the second match of the group stage of the European Championship in Lithuania. At the end of the match, the result was 77:65.
After the victory over Serbia (79:59) in the first round, the golden goys from the Olympic Games for the young continued their path towards the medal with today’s great triupmh over Italy.
The half-time result of 50:19 in favor of B&H speaks of the superiority of the young BH basketball players over their peers from Italy.
It should be emphasized that the Italians scored only five points in the second quarter, while the players selected by Josip Pandza scored 25 points in each two quarters. With the sound of the siren at the end of the second quarter, Alikadic scored a three pointer from half-court.
However, the BH cadets relaxed in the other two quarters, especially in the last section which the Italians won with the score of 25:11.
B&H was again led to victory by the amazing Dzenan Musa who scored 23 points and had 19 rebounds. Sani Campara and Njegos Sikiras each scored 13 points, and Lazar Mutic also recorded double digits with ten points.
The next match and the last one in the group C the BH cadets are to play against Finland tomorrow at 7 p.m.
