Witness in the Case against Mladic found dead in a Hotel Room

Witness in Ratko Mladic Case Died jutarnji.hrDusan Dunjic, the defence expert witness in the case against Ratko Mladic who was yesterday supposed to testify in court, was found dead in the hotel where he was staying, it was released from the Hague Tribunal.

Dunjic was found by the hotel employee and the representative of the International Court. Emergency service was immediately notified, who only confirmed the death of Dunjic. The Dutch authorities are investigating his death.

Namely, the testimony of the defense witness of Ratko Mladic in front of the Hague Tribunal was disrupted yesterday shortly after the beginning of the trial, and after the break the accused was not present in the courtroom.

The Presiding Judge Alphons Orie stopped the session due to “unforeseen circumstances”, BIRN – Justice Report reported .

Dusan Dunjic, the forensic expert from Serbia, testified in several cases before the International Criminal Court. He was an expert witness at the trials in the cases of Milan Milutinovic and others, Vlastimir Djordjevic and Ramush Haradinaj, et al.
