Bosnia and Herzegovina ranks last among all countries in the region in terms of ease of doing business, according to the latest Doing Business list compiled by the World Bank.

Our country ranks 90th and has fallen one place from the previous list due to slow legal procedures for starting a business and issuing building permits.

In these categories, it ranked 184th and 173rd respectively.

In the Doing Business list for 2020, BiH was ranked 141st  and it is slightly better positioned in the categories that assess the availability of electricity and the availability of credit, in which BiH occupied the 74th and 67th positions, respectively.

BiH took the best position in the category related to insolvency resolution, where it ranks 37th. In the region, business is the easiest to do in Northern Macedonia, which ranks 17th on this list, Slovenia is 37th, Serbia is 44th, Montenegro is 50th, Croatia is 51st, while Kosovo is 57th.
