Young Entrepreneurs launched a Brand in Honor of the Bosnian King

Three young entrepreneurs from Usora started producing autochthonous BiH brand, footwear, whose domestic authenticity is confirmed by the name of the brand dedicated to the Bosnian medieval ruler Ban Kulin.

“Shoemaking is a traditional craft in our country and there are many companies that do ‘lon’ work for other foreign companies. We dared to embark on a new venture”, says Ivan Krajina, director of the newly founded shoe production company from Usora.

COOL in English means modern, and the term IN could be translated from English as “in trend”, “up-to-date”. When these two terms are combined in our language, we get the name of the most successful ruler of the Medieval Bosnian state, Ban Kulin.

“We wanted to have a touch of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s authenticity, and as a result, we named it after our medieval monarch Kulin Ban, so that the seal of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this project would be strong and emphasized,” says Pero Nikić, a young entrepreneur from Usora.

It is encouraging that the producers of BiH brands and domestic fashion retail chains unite.

“We are creating a new fashion force that will set trends and inspire our people throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina,” says Huso Hasanović, representative of BiH “Dresscode” fashion chain.

“Quality, at some point, must be recognized. Maybe the road to that is long, but we are patient and know that a story like this is not built overnight. We want to enter the foreign market one day,” adds Nikić.

High-quality BH shoes are already worn by some celebrities from the pop world. Among them is the regional pop star Goran Karan.

“Goran loves Bosnia and Herzegovina, he loves Visoko and he loves the pyramids. And through that connection, we got to him,” says Krajina.

In an increasingly complex time for doing business, the example of young entrepreneurs, neighbors and friends from Usora inspires hope and shows that with dedication, faith and new ideas, one can be successful even in the homeland, Federalna reports.
