‘You’re as beautiful as Bosnia’: Love Letter in Budapest

budapestVery strange thing appeared in the center of Budapest.

Namely, two buildings were covered with huge canvases on which was written a love letter. Author of the letter begged girl Gika to forgive him and admits that he did a huge mistake, and if she forgives him, he promises to buy her a house in Gorki and to show her beautiful Bosnia.

Although citizens thought at first that it is some kind of guerilla marketing, it turned out that behind this action is one Polish with broken heart. Jan Przasnek is a professional mountain climber, and he had to ask formal approval from the city authorities for this “action for forgiveness”, although it lasts for only 24 hours. It is assumed that the cost of this crazy endeavor was around 20,000 EUR, and Hungarian media reported that there is not a rich man behind this, but only a crazy young man who fell in love.

And in his “love letter” on the first panel was written the following:

“Gika, I made the biggest mistake of my life, but thanks to that I realized how much you mean to me. I realized that I could love only you. If you forgive me, I will turn every minute of your suffering into hour of happiness, your every tear in the sea of joy. Can you forgive me, Gika?

On the second panel Jan wrote: “If you forgive me, I want you to know that I’m going to marry you and you’re going to be the mother of my children. I want to build you a small house in Gorki or wherever you want. I still want to show you Bosnia, which is beautiful like you. I know that this a crazy idea, but I believe that this is the wisest decisions of my life. I know it’s not too late. I believe in true love and miracles. Do you want to believe too, Gika?”
