BiH Presidency Member Željko Komšić arrived in Dayton where he will attend the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the signing of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

BiH Presidency Member Željko Komšić was welcomed by Dayton Mayor Jeffrey J. Mims Jr. and Congressman Mike Turner.

During an interview with the media, BiH Presidency Member Željko Komšić thanked his hosts for the warm welcome and for the long-standing overall support of the United States Government and its citizens to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized that Dayton has a special meaning for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens, because the Dayton Peace Agreement was signed there, which brought much-needed peace to our homeland.

He said that from tomorrow’s meeting with Christopher Landau, Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, he expects an open dialogue on key issues for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the continuation of reform processes, preservation of peace and stability, and strengthening the partnership with the United States of America.
