The start of vaccination against coronavirus in Republika Srpska (RS) is possible by the end of this week, according to the director of the Institute of Public Health, Branislav Zeljkovic, BHRT writes.

Zeljkovic said that it is difficult to say the precise day, but they plan to make an organization with colleagues in hospitals in the next few days, so that they can prepare health workers to start vaccination, referring to those who have expressed interest.

After the Institute of Public Health officially receives a notification from the supplier, Zeljkovic said that he would communicate with health institutions and organize the start of vaccination for health workers in health institutions, primarily hospitals.

The Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) yesterday approved the Russian vaccine “Sputnik V” for immunization against coronavirus. So far, 2.000 doses have arrived in RS, intended for 1.000 health workers.
