Several hundreds of Zenica citizens with a walk through Zenica streets expressed dissatisfaction due to the current situation yesterday.
Citizens gathered at the square Alija Izetbegović and headed towards the Municipality of Zenica, where they claimed that are seeking for the resignation of the Mayor of Zenica Husejin Smajlović and of the Municipal Council. They invited even other people to join the protests, to fight together for a better future.
In front of the building of Zenica Doboj Canton, they paid homage to the fallen government of Zenica Doboj Canton with a minute of silence.
“I thank everyone. They have started to threaten us in all different ways but we do not give up. I ask all the young people to call their friends and to join the protests and the Plenum of citizens that will be held at the hall Bilimišće, at 19:00”, said Maid Ormanović, a member of the Council of Plenum of Zenica – Doboj Canton. He added “I was threatened with my life to withdraw from the Plenum of citizens, but I have not done it, and I will not do it. The police received a tip about this threat, but believe me, we are twice as strong as them”.
New protests of Zenica citizens are announced for today at 13:00.
