The laying of flowers at the memorial site in Zenica marked 12 April, the Liberation Day of Zenica from fascism.
In honor of the victims of WWII, as well as victims of other wars, Zenica citizens laid flowers and paid tribute to people who liberated Zenica.
”We mark this day every year, because if people forget this history, then the people perish. We regularly mark all important dates, and this is our duty”, said representative of the Association Antifascists of Zenica Ismet Vrškić.
Representatives of a number of veterans organizations, government representatives and members of the Association laid flowers to mark important dates from 1992-1995.
