Zenica, Travnik, Novi Travnik, Vitez and Busovača to Build a Joint System of Water Supply Worth 40 Million BAM

plava_vodaPrime Minister of FB&H Nermin Nikšić, prime ministers of Central Bosnia and Zenica-Doboj Canton, Mayors of Municipality Travnik, Novi Travnik, Vitez, Busovača and Zenica, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry of FB&H, Director of the Fund for Environmental Protection of FB&H, director of public fund of River Sava and regional director of “Plava Voda” had a meeting in Sarajevo, announced the Government of ZDC.

They discussed the utilization of capacities of “Plava Voda” for water supplies in the following cities: Zenica, Travnik, Novi Travnik, Vitez and Busovača. It was agreed that interested municipalities would participate in construction, except for Travnik, which will provide half of the funds necessary for construction of this joint system. The total amount needed for construction is 40 million BAM.

Municipalities will get loans worth 20 million BAM, and the cantonal government will provide the other half of funds from their budgets. The government of FB&H will finance the rest of the money needed.

The loan is foreseen to be paid in 15 years with a grace period of three years.
