Zenica – Works on Zenica Bypass of Corridor Vc Began

corridor VcThe representatives of the public company Motorways of FBiH marked yesterday the beginning of works on new investment cycle of building the motorway on Corridor Vc, section Zenica south – Zenica north, approximately 3 kilometers long.

Construction works and supervision of building of the motorway on Zenica bypass is being done by domestic companies Hering d.d. Široki Brijeg and Divel d.o.o. Sarajevo. Deadline for building this demanding sub-section is 30 months, which includes facilities of two viaducts Perin Han and Klopče, and Drivuša bridge, which will cost around 33 million euros – for construction works, and two million for supervising works.

Director of Motorways of FBiH Ensad Karić, Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Nermin Nikšić, Ambassador of Kuwait to BiH Nasser Riden Thamer Almotairi and directors of ‘Hering’ Ladislav Bevanda and ‘Divel’ Elmedin Voloder addressed.

According to the contractors, more than 200 workers will be engaged in building the sub-section near Zenica, and local sub-contractors will help in some stages of construction.

“Today we are attending beginning of implementation of everything we announced, the plan to continue building the road on Corridor 5-C in next four years. I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate the Motorways, Hering and Divel, the domestic companies that won this job on international tender,“ said Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić.

By signing the agreement for building section Zenica south – Zenica north, construction of Zenica bypass begins and building of motorway towards north of BiH continues.

Director Ensad Karić announced that at the beginning of next year building of motorway to Donja Gračanica will continue and they expect additional 80 kilometers of motorway A-1 to be built in a new investment cycle.
