Zvizdic met with the Vice President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić met today in Madrid with the Vice President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain Cristina Narbona and informed her about the current political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On this occasion, Zvizdić expressed gratitude for the strong support for the granting of candidate status and said that it is one of the most important foreign policy goals on our country’s Euro-Atlantic path.

Zvizdić and Narbona agreed that the bilateral relations between the two countries are good and without open issues. I

The two also said that there was room for improvement of economic cooperation in the field of tourism, high technologies, environmental protection, energy efficiency, development of renewable energy sources, and culture and sports education.

Chairman Zvizdić pointed out that the experiences of the Kingdom of Spain in the field of using EU funds for the development of road and especially railway infrastructure are extremely important and interesting for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He added that as part of the contractual cooperation between the two countries, the signing of the Agreement on mutual recognition of driver’s licenses is expected, which will be ratified in the Parliament as soon as the signing procedure is completed.
