Zvizdic revealed “Three Important Things” for BiH

Hahn ZvizdicCommissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic, Prime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novalic and Prime Minister of the RS Zeljka Cvijanovic discussed the Reform Agenda at the meeting yesterday in Sarajevo.

“We agreed on principle agreement on the establishment of a joint market, which would include the free flow of goods and capital, but also mutual recognition of professional qualifications in the context of training and education. These are easily achievable results, however, everything depends on the political will. In the next three months, the task for everyone is to ensure all elements of the implementation of this agreement before leaders’ summit that is scheduled in Trieste.”

He added that the reform path must be continued, and revealed that they discussed the next tranche of loans with representatives of the IMF as well, which is necessary for the positive momentum in the country, made in 2016.

“I want to congratulate to everyone on everything done and I will say that the governments are working a lot, but parliaments must give their contribution as well,” stated the European Commissioner.

Zvizdic noted that he particularly insisted on an increase in the volume and investments in BiH in sectors that are important to us.

“We want to build roads, we proposed numerous projects and we expect that part of these will be quickly approved. We request that these projects are financed on favorable terms and deadlines. We wish to strengthen our small and medium enterprises, employment, especially of young people, as well as to invest further in infrastructure,” said Zvizdic at the press conference, and noted:

“We talked about three important things – reforms, investment, and employment.”

Zeljka Cvijanovic said that it is becoming tiresome to talk about reforms when on the ground are visible some other things. She also stated that the RS fulfills the obligations better than the FBiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH.

“It is good that we are working together on the agenda, but I’m not satisfied with the attitude that we show towards reforms,” she said.

Novalic believes that meetings are a good sign for European path, but also for the future of BiH.

“All important factors were present at today’s meeting,” concluded the Prime Minister of FBiH, stating that this is very important for reform path of our country.
