Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić spoke today in Brussels with the chairman of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, Romeo Franz, about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zvizdić informed Chairman Franz about the procedure for forming the government after the October elections and expressed hope that the new government will give impetus to reforms and the realization of key goals on BiH’s European path.

He pointed out that Euro-Atlantic integration remains the main foreign policy priority and that he expects the new government to be more progressive and open than it was in the previous four years.

Zvizdić emphasized that last week the newly formed Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted several important documents from the EU agenda.

“This is proof that changes are visible and that we can be moderately optimistic,” said Zvizdić.

Franz emphasized the European Union’s commitment to BiH’s European path, as well as the fact that Europe sent a clear message to Bosnia and Herzegovina by granting it candidate status, stated the BiH PA.
